Objective

Better With Hope is an existing business that came to me with a need for suitible product packaging. Creating cohesive front and back labels for a range of balms used for massage and daily healing bennefits. Better With Hope balms are made from natural, plant based materials and added aromatherapy for it’s curative properties. Intended to be sold at massage schools, boutiques and online, we needed to design packaging that was eye catching as well as cost effective for the business and consumer. An additional desire was an elevated social media presence. Overall, the business required a cohesive look that could be utilized in product packaging, and beyond.

Solution

A clean, type based design strategy was utilized to clearly convey product type, uses and healing properties to the consumer. Bright, distinctive colors were chosen to easily differentiate each product, while representing the colors of the chakra. A new, cleaner logo was created to set the company name apart from the product and description on the type heavy labels. Friendly typefaces were chosen to draw in the consumer, while clearly conveying the necessary product information. The social media portion of this project is geared towards highlighting the natural ingredients and healing properties of Better With Hope Balms through calming photography and clean typography. All of the above design choices came together for a beautiful, reusable packaging suite.
