Objective
Now more than ever NPR is a brand that people turn to for irrefutable, informative and inclusive news. The goal of this re-brand was to respect the long history of equity within the iconic brand identity, while staying in alignment with the evolving role it plays in American society, and working to draw in new generations.
Solution
While re-imagining the iconic brand identity for NPR I wanted to incorporate a slight vintage feel to draw in a new generation of followers as well as create nostalgia. It was important to set clear guides for logo use, typography and brand emphasis, all while keeping in the confines of the new identity system.
